The Fitness Myth of Having to Be In Shape Before Starting Fitness Classes

It seems like this question comes up often when ladies are asking about Fitness Classes here at All In Fitness

“I am looking for Fitness Classes Near Me But I’m not in shape, so can I really do classes or should I wait?”

It doesn’t always come out exactly like that.

But out of the many forms the question takes – it always seems to be summed up in the statement…

“I have to get in shape before I can get in shape.”

Does this make any sense at all?

Not really.

But I understand why this question comes up.

After all, it can seem to be a little intimidating to participate in a class where a bunch of others have already been “doing it for a while.”

And…

If the thought of not being able to “keep up” comes to mind – I guess that makes sense too.

Here’s the thing…

If you were to go from not working-out regularly for years and then sign up to go run a 10-K I would agree…You might wanta hold off on the 10-K.

Or…

All of sudden after spending a year at your desk during the day and on your couch at night with your only activity being the “running around” of daily life, you decided to enter a three day beach volleyball tournament…

Yea…sit that one out… wait until you “get in shape.”

(BTW – The running around of daily life is not a workout!)

The fact is classes are just that… classes.

Fitness Classes (At All In Fitness) are designed to get you in shape for life and any other fun stuff you wanta do sertraline hcl 50 mg.

Sure… at first… you won’t “get” all the moves.

In the beginning you might not be able to get through an entire class.

It’s all good… it’s how you get out of your comfort zone. It’s the challenge that makes it fun and gets you the results you want.
